How to make Any Room Look Way Better

If you want to completely change your home or if you just want to try and make it more practical then there are a few things that you can do to make this happen. Most of the ideas below are free, and they can also be done in a single weekend!

Traffic Flow

Think about it, how do your guests move through your space? If you have never taken the time to evaluate your space then now is the time for you to do that. You should never have to walk all the way around a room just to get to the next. You should never have to squeeze past a table or worry about knocking something over either. If this sounds like your home then you need to try and make some flow adjustments. This can be as dramatic or as subtle as you want, and you’d be surprised at how easy it is for you to get the best result out of your home’s layout this way.

You need to move the heaviness away from every room so that the weight can be spread equally around the home. For example, if you have various pieces of heavy furniture in your living room then consider moving them to another. You also need to make sure that all of your pieces are not on the same side as well. Don’t be afraid to have a change and experiment a little bit. When you do this, you will soon find that everything comes together nicely.

Clear off your Counters

If you have a lot of small spaces then you will probably know how easy it is for them to get filled up with clutter. If you have a toaster that you only use once a month then don’t keep it on the kitchen counter. Instead, put it in the cupboard. Little things like that can really help you to make the most out of a space and it could even help you to maximise the potential of each room. You can also get creative with your space too. This could include putting smaller pieces of furniture under larger ones, and even hanging items on hooks throughout the home. This will help you to utilise vertical space rather than just floor space and it can really open up a room. If your layout is far too limiting to even think about things like this then check out

Eliminate Bulky Window Coverings If you have a window covering that you don’t use for privacy at all then why not remove the window covering that you have. When you do this, you can increase the architectural feel of the room and you can also open up the space much more. This will also let way more light into the room as well, so you know that you won’t have any issues at all there. If you want to have curtains then make them shorter so they don’t drag on the floor. You also want to make sure that you tie drapes back properly.
