Claripads Daily Pore Clarifying Pads for Ingrown Hairs

A few years ago, a dermatologist told me that it was my fault that I continued to get ingrown hairs on my skin. I had done everything she told me, including changing my razors every time I shaved, shaving in the direction of the hair follicles, and washing the skin with an antiseptic wash after I shaved.
Much to my dismay, I continued to get ingrown hairs on my bikini line and my legs. I switched over to waxing, which further exacerbated my problem, until I read about the condition some more and began to realize that some types of skin are more prone to getting ingrown hairs than others.
KEY POINTS: Its not completely your fault if you get recurrent ingrown hairs after shaving or waxing.
My problem, I learned was partly genetic, and partly technique-driven. I switched back and forth between shaving and waxing until I got better control of the problem. I finally realized that prevention was a big part of the solution and began using Claripads Daily Pore Clarifying Pads to help decrease the onset and duration of the ingrown hairs.
Dermatologists attribute the bumps from ingrown hairs to localized inflammation and bacteria in the hair follicle stubs. It’s a common misperception that women are led to believe that its purely their fault that they have ingrown hairs. It is a condition that is caused by a combination of skin, hair, and keratin-type conditions you have.
At this point, I use Claripads Daily Pore Clarifying Pads everyday on the areas that I develop ingrown hairs. The pre-soaked pads come in a pack of 60 and contain both Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid to exfoliate and unclog hair follicles and pores in the skin. By allowing the follicles to function normally, Claripads have reduced the frequency and duration of the few ingrown hairs I get from time to time.
