I personally was stunned when I saw the pieces the first time I visited the website, everything just seems so class and timeless. Here are few of my Fragments picks:
"Ashley Pittman’s work in Africa began in 2006 when she volunteered for the Clinton HIV/AIDS foundation in Rwanda. Inspired by the country and it’s people, she set out to create a business committed to serving the community and people that produce it.
Working with local artisans, the bold pieces are a celebration of Kenyan craftsmanship, made from materials including horn, bronze and gemstones. She also donates 10% of profits to fund a rural health center and primary school in Kenya."
"A master of design and a true original in today’s world, Alex Sepkus is first a craftsman whose priority is beauty, whose insight and passion for his work are his d"iving force in life, and whose abilities lie within his hands.
Inspired by great literary works, the designer quickly garnered the attention and respect of his peers, and was awarded the Jewelers of America New Designer of the Year Award within the first five years of his career."
"Nam Cho fell in love with fashion after graduating from Parsons School of Design and working with designers Narciso Rodriguez, Richard Tyler and Patrick Robinson. It was at these fashion houses where she fine-tuned her creative skills.
The designer believes fine jewelry should be luxurious, classic and timeless but also young, exciting and fresh. The Nam Cho collection embodies "classic with an edge."
Designing for over 20 years, French-Mexican designer Colette is a devoted world traveler. She creates pieces that are feminine with an edge and always finds new inspiration in the natural elements around her, from the sky’s cosmos to dragonflies. Using 18k gold and a range of stones from diamonds to emeralds and fire opal, every design represents a piece of her soul and a commitment to creating jewelry as art."
